The health department said that the death of a four-year-old girl in Rawalpindi from the dengue virus is the first case of the disease this season.
Kaler Syedan was the owner of the girl who passed away from dengue, according to the provincial health authority.
In the past 24 hours, dengue has been identified in 14 more people, and 25 patients are receiving treatment at various hospitals.
Based on information provided by the health department, 96 individuals who contracted dengue this season have recovered and gone back home.
