In August, Narjissi, then seventeen, was washed away in the sea off Cape Town, South Africa, during a team management training.
The FFR claimed that the monitoring of the session was “poorly controlled” and that warning signs on the beach were either missed or disregarded.
According to the FFR, the decision to do a recovery session in the ocean at Dias Beach was made without taking into account how hazardous the location can be, especially with regard to rip currents, waves, and rocks.
It states that it is investigating the prospect of pursuing legal action against the officials overseeing the France Under-18 squad at the time.
All of the session’s staff members as well as a few of the participating players were interviewed by the FFR.
Son of former Morocco men’s captain Jalil Narjissi, Narjissi just joined with Top 14 winners Toulouse. He was competing in a five-team competition that also included South Africa, England, Ireland, and Georgia.
Jalil Narjissi has criticized the personnel in charge of setting up the meeting.
“It’s not an accident; it was caused,” he said.
