For decades during the late country great Toby Keith’s career, Jason Aldean found inspiration in the late singer to be authentic to himself.
Even though what Keith had to say didn’t align with the “popular opinion,” Aldean claims he respected the way he “always spoke his mind.”
“Well, to be honest, I believe Toby was a guy for a lot of us in the profession. Ahead of the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards, Aldean said to News , “I think he was a guy that a lot of us looked up to.”
“For me personally, he was a guy that I feel like… just always spoke his mind,” he stated. “He expressed his views, whether or not they were agreed upon by others. Moreover, you know, it wasn’t.
