Apple is expected to incorporate gesture-based camera features, along with a speculated Capture Button, into the upcoming iPhone 16. The Information reported, as reported by MacRumors, that the upcoming iPhone models will have a new Capture Button that will enable users to focus on subjects, adjust the camera zoom, and record videos with gestures.
According to the report, Apple intends to position the Capture button so that it is easily accessible when holding the iPhone horizontally—that is, directly beneath the power button on the right side of the device. The Information stated that, in contrast to earlier rumors, the button will probably be mechanical rather than capacitive but will still react to pressure and touch. It also mentioned that users of the iPhone 16 will be able to swipe in to change the zoom.

Furthermore, a slight press will focus the camera, and a more noticeable press will initiate recording.
The report claims that insiders at Apple think the new button will be a big selling point for the next lineup and will support the company’s argument that the iPhone can record horizontally, just like cameras.
