KARACHI: Provincial authorities in Sindh, which includes Karachi, have stated they have taken major action to lessen the effects and address the possible risk of urban floods in the province as they prepare for heavy rainfall and an impending deep depression.
The port city had sporadic rains during the course of the night and today, with a minimum temperature of 26°C and a maximum predicted to range from 30 to 32°C.
The meteorological service reported that the air’s humidity was 92% and that the wind was gusting at 16 km per hour.
The largest amount of rainfall, measured between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., was 20 millimeters in Nazimabad, followed by 16.5 mm in Kemari, 13 mm in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, 11.5 mm in Quaidabad, and 9.5 mm in Orangi Town, 8.5mm at Old Airport and University Road, 8mm in Saddar, 7mm at Sharea Faisal, 6mm in Maripur and Jinnah Terminal.
