This has added further tragedy to an already difficult operation. Concerns About Diving Equipment Sami Paakkarinen raised concerns about the equipment used by the divers. He said the setup was not suitable for such a dangerous cave environment. He explained that experienced divers normally use a guide rope or diving reel to stay oriented in complex underwater spaces. Authorities said both infected individuals had recently travelled from DR Congo. Despite the cases, WHO described the situation in Uganda as stable and said officials continue to monitor the spread carefully.
