The Chiefs and kicker Harrison Butker have allegedly agreed to a four-year contract worth $25.6 million, the largest ever given to a kicker in NFL history. His $17.75 million guaranteed salary is also the highest for the position.
Butker has been virtually unstoppable in the NFL, despite playing in subzero temps in Kansas City.
Throughout his seven-year career, he has made 89.1% of his field goals and 94.5% of his extra points. This last season, however, was his best, as he went 38-for-38 on PATs and 33-for-35 (career high 94.3%) on field goals.
“There’s no place I’d rather be than with the Chiefs, where I’m pleased to sign a four-year deal. “To the Heights!” he posted.
The three-time Super Bowl champion improved his record in February by going 4-for-4 on field goal tries in Super Bowl LVIII, including two game-tying kicks in the fourth quarter (one of which sent the game into overtime with three seconds left).
