Draymond Green, a forward for the Golden State Warriors, has been suspended indefinitely and has not returned to the court unless he satisfies certain conditions.
Coach Steve Kerr’s latest remarks present a different picture from ESPN’s Christmas story, which suggested that Green may miss 11 to 13 games and be expected to return between January 5 and January 10 against New Orleans in Detroit.
Kerr revealed to reporters on Wednesday that he hasn’t been in constant contact with Green, saying, “We text. However, we’ve been respecting his personal space and he’s been respecting ours.”
Kerr was unsure when asked how soon Green will be back in playing shape, responding, “Not sure.”
Golden State
Green has not yet shown up for team practices at the Golden State facility, despite the stated timeframe.
Basketball player Green was involved in a number of on-court confrontations; the most recent one was a punch to Jusuf Nurkic of the Phoenix Suns.
During his most recent ban, he has missed 10 games; during that time, the Warriors have gone 6-4.
There hasn’t been any word yet on when he might return because doing so is also conditioned on his receiving counseling and acting in a way that is better than before.
