The 20-year-old signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with Villa Park until 2028 after moving to the Major League Soccer team Chicago Fire in January 2023 for £18 million.
Due to interest from Chelsea and West Ham, the Colombian almost left Villa in the summer.
He did, however, stay in the Midlands and has already scored six goals this season, one of which came last week in a 1-0 Champions League victory over Bayern Munich.
This season, Duran has already won three Premier League games: one each against West Ham, Leicester, and Everton.
After being appointed in October 2022, Emery signed a second player at Villa Park, a Colombian international.
In addition to one goal in 12 Colombian caps, he has 14 goals in 56 club games.
