At the Charleston Festival 2024 opening session on Thursday, Queen Camilla took a surprising turn by joining Laureate Joseph Coelho on stage to discuss the importance of reading and the novels they both enjoyed as kids.
The Queen reportedly celebrated reading in East Sussex during the day.
She shocked the attendees of the Charleston Festival 2024 by showing up to the “Power of Reading” opening session.
The Queen celebrated the wonder of children’s literature with local primary school students and Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho, with the goal of highlighting the importance of books and reading for kids and teens.
Additionally, the Queen attended a reception in the walled garden, where she spoke with authors, speakers from theFestival, Charleston staff and supporters of Charleston and the Festival.
