Pakistan’s local assembly and manufacturing facilities produced more than 1.3 million mobile phones between January and May.
Significant export activity has also occurred in the nation; 7.6 million mobile phones that were constructed and manufactured in Pakistan were shipped out.
Local production reached 2.023 million mobile phones in May alone, demonstrating the industry’s ability to scale up production efficiently.
Furthermore, in May 2024, over 100,000 mobile sets were commercially imported.
8.1 million smartphones and 4.98 million 2G mobile phones make up the mix of local production.
