A Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has been formed by the FIA to look into the arrest of former MD Pasco Saeed Ahmad Nawaz.
Details indicate that the FIA has arrested eight people, including the former MD, in connection with the issue, and that millions of rupees have allegedly been corrupted. The joint investigative team will present its findings to the director of the FIA.
There were conflicting responses to Saeed Ahmad Nawaz’s incarceration because of his positive standing within the bureaucracy. Under the conditions, the FIA director assembled a JIT consisting of three officers.
Naeem Akhtar, Assistant Director, will be in charge of the JIT. The squad also includes Imtiaz Niazi and Gul Shahnaz Akram. After the inquiry is finished, the team will report to Director FIA Sarfaraz.
