Eighteen months after giving birth to her second child, the 35-year-old Briton is trying to get back on top of the podium.
The three-day competition, which takes place from May 24-26 and is Britain’s only World Tour event, consists of two stages held in news and a race around central London at the end.
“It’s going nicely with this prep. My foundation is stronger than it was last year since I had a good winter of training,” the woman remarked.
“I’m feeling good, and I’m happy with my team, and we’re doing everything we can, and we’ll keep trying, and I’m sure we’ll come away with a win soon.”
In the Olympic year, Lizzie Deignan of Britain competes in a three-day ride on the London Classique.
Because this year is an Olympic year, Lizzie Deignan says it will be "harder than ever to win" in the Ford Ride London.
