Israeli forces continued ground activity in southern Lebanon. These included rocket launch positions and other infrastructure.
Israeli authorities also issued evacuation warnings for residents in large parts of southern Lebanon as air and artillery strikes intensified.
Buffer zone plan adds tension
Israel announced plans for a security buffer zone extending about eight to ten kilometers inside Lebanese territory. Officials said the aim is to protect Israeli border communities from cross border attacks.
