Jason Kelce, Philadelphia Eagles center, has officially retired from the NFL after 13 seasons with the Eagles.
His retirement press conference was emotional, with his family and brother, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, there. Kelce expressed thanks for his time in Philadelphia, emphasizing his link with both the city and the club.
He was chosen by the Eagles in 2011 and has played for four different head coaches. Kelce has seven Pro Bowl appearances and six All-Pro selections.
Despite his achievements, Kelce referred to himself as an underdog and took inspiration from naysayers throughout his career. He’ll be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2029.
Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie complimented Kelce for his services to the team and the city.
