ISLAMABAD: During the Supreme Court hearing for the NAB amendments case, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, who is currently incarcerated, expressed his dissatisfaction with the “victimization” he has experienced since losing his election in April 2022.
Since his conviction in the Toshakhana case last year, the PTI founder has been detained in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail. He appeared before the Supreme Court’s five-member bench via video link.
The case was heard by the SC bench, which was led by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa and included Justices Aminuddin, Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Athar Minallah, and Hasan Azhar Rizvi.
During his argument, Khan informed the court that the nation had suddenly implemented “martial law” and that he had been found guilty in just five days.
He also used Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as an example, stating that the latter was allowed to run the campaign on bail prior to the Indian general elections.
Khan also conveyed his disappointment with the Supreme Court’s ruling dismissing the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s request for the case to be streamed live.
