- PML-N’s Hanif Abbasi demands Sheikh Rashid Ahmed to leave politics –
Earlier today, PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi urged Awami Muslim League (AML) president Sheikh Rashid Ahmed to leave politics.
Speaking exclusively to Samaa TV, Abbasi stated: “I had defeated Sheikh Rashid four times.”
The freshly elected member denied the claims made by the former Rawalpindi commissioner.
“We confronted opponents in every forum over allegations of election rigging.” It is impossible in any situation that the claims made by Liaquat Chattha will be true.”
Abbasi went on to ask: “How can a person who has nothing to do with the elections level the allegations about rigging?”
Abbasi emphasized the importance of unity, saying, “All political parties should stand united in terms of steering the country out of the quagmire”.
