The screenwriter, originally from London, was inspired to write about the true account of King George VI’s victory over his speech impediment on the brink of the Second World War.
US media stated that Seidler passed away on Saturday while fly-fishing in New Zealand, per his manager Jeff Aghassi.
“David was in the place he loved most in the world, New Zealand, doing fly fishing, which brought him the greatest peace,” Mr. Aghassi stated.
“If given the chance, it is exactly as he would have scripted it.”
