PTI supporters protested the “disappearance” of KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Sunday by entering the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. A few hours after the government sent out a notice for the assembly’s “emergency session,” they arrived at the august house. But it has been postponed.
Supporters of PTI shouted Gandapur’s name and called for Imran Khan, the party’s founder, to be released.
Members of the PTI parliamentary party convened to deliberate on “critical decisions” at another meeting.
The leaders reportedly talked on a “unanimous resolution” that would be brought up at the assembly, according to party insiders. Future plans for action were also discussed. The assembly members would each give a speech before the resolution was made.
The speaker of the KP Assembly was told by party officials to “exercise his authority.”
