Punjab Minister for Information Azma Bokhari stated on Friday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should be viewed as a terrorist organization since the party is not a political party and should be respected as such, in response to the party’s insistence on holding a rally at Islamabad’s D-Chowk today despite Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s warning against it.
“[The PTI] is not a political party,” Bokhari declared in an interview for the “Geo Pakistan” segment of News.
In response to a question, the minister of information stated that she had spoken with the interior minister the previous day and that she thought he would forbid the PTI supporters from entering the nation’s capital.
Naqvi cautioned the PTI on Thursday not to organize the public meeting because the prime minister of Malaysia was among the foreign dignitaries scheduled to visit Islamabad.
