Since Wednesday night, there have been heavy and sporadic rain showers in a number of Karachi localities, which has helped to alleviate the city’s extreme heat and humidity.
There has been rainfall in areas like II Chundrigar Road, Saddar, Liaquatabad, MA Jinnah Road, and the adjacent areas; Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Federal B Area, Liaquatabad, Karimabad, and North Naz imabad have seen higher downpours.
The overnight rainy period, which stretches from University Road to Tower and Orangi Town to Gulistan-e-Hadeed, has persisted throughout the night.
Water has accumulated on the roads as a result of the rain, and power outages have been recorded in several parts of the city.
