In the midst of the enormous popularity of the comedic espionage drama Slow Horses, Apple TV+ has chosen to approve season five of Gary Oldman’s peculiar MI5 squad.
The cast of the television series, which is based on Mick Herron’s novel, will reappear. Variety reports that Oscar winner and actor Jackson Lamb, who portrayed a tense spy, is nominated for a Golden Globe.
Kristin Scott Thomas, Jonathan Pryce, Jack Lowden, Rosalind Eleazar, Saskia Reeves, Chung, Samuel West, Sophie Okonedo, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, and Kadiff Kirwan are among the other cast members of the show besides Gary.
“Everyone is suspicious when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend,” says the logline for season five. “But when a string of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work through them.”
“After all, Jackson Lamb is aware that ‘London Rules’ should always be followed in the field of espionage,” the statement continued.
When Slow Horses debuted on Apple TV+ in 2022, it quickly rose to the top of the streaming service’s lineup of shows and received the finest reviews of any humorous spy drama.
