Police have verified that senior journalist Nisar Lehri was shot and killed on Wednesday in Mastung, Balochistan, in the GulKand area.
Local officials claim that Lehri, the secretary of the Press Club in her community, was killed due to a land dispute.
Faiz Durani, the press club president, has demanded that the attackers be taken into custody right away.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Mastung, police raids are being conducted right now in an effort to capture the culprits.
