As the last season of Pat Sajak’s hosting of “Wheel of Fortune” draws to a close, contestants and viewers have not stopped producing unforgettable moments.
The contestant Tavaris Williams’ shocking and unfit-for-work response was the most memorable of the past few weeks and undoubtedly one of the greatest moments ever.
Co-host Vanna White was at the puzzle board during his May 23 appearance on the game show when the letters for the phrase—”_ _ _ _ I _ T _ E B _ _ T!”—were revealed.
Swiftly entering the room, Williams declared with assurance, “Right in the butt.”
Ahead of his final show, “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak’s daughter Maggie takes viewers inside the scenes.
After he answered, there was a little pause, some audience laughter, and then a “What?” .
from competitor Tyra, and a resounding “no” from Sajak as Williams’ expression displayed complete surprise.
“THIS IS THE BEST!” was the right response.
“None of those commonsense [thoughts like], ‘Well, there weren’t enough letters for the word “right”‘,” Williams said to News last week. “This is a family-oriented program.” With fifty monitors above you, none of that is even on your mind. There is plenty of light. Stagehands number one hundred. Producers are present. Guys, there’s sound.”
When Sajak, whom he referred to as “spectacular,” offered his support, Williams claimed that’s when they took a break from filming.
