Anwar Ibrahim, the prime minister of Malaysia, left Pakistan on Friday after concluding a three-day state visit that he described as having “great personal significance”.
Along with Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, members of the federal cabinet, and other high-ranking officials, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who had welcomed his Malaysian counterpart upon his arrival on Wednesday, also saw him depart at the airport.
Along with a high-level delegation of ministers, deputy ministers, and senior officials, Ibrahim led the delegation-level discussions and had a “productive discussion” with President Asif Ali Zardari during the visit. He also had a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz.
“Conversations with President of Pakistan If Ali Zardari and my counterpart Shehbaz Sharif, along with conversations with industry representatives, resulted in productive outcomes encompassing a wide array of mutual interests,” PM Ibrahim wrote on his X timeline following the visit.
