Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted on Monday that the port city may get another period of light rain, continuing the intermittent drizzle and light showers that it has been receiving for more than a week with pauses.
The PMD reported that although the temperature may soar to a maximum of 30-32°C today, it has already plummeted as low as 26.5°C. The department noted that the air’s humidity ratio was 92%. However, it stated that in the morning, the west wind speed varied from 14 to 24 kilometers per hour.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz stated that although there may still be sporadic light rain and drizzle in the city, the weather is predicted to stay good throughout the week.He further predicted that Sindh would get another round of monsoon rains starting on August 18. He stated that different regions of Sindh can see rainfall according to the monsoon system.
Early on Sunday morning, there was light rain in Karachi’s Mauripur Road, Lyari, Gulistan-e-Johar, Malir, Shah Faisal Colony, Gulshan-e-Jamal, Rashid Minhas Road, Sharea Faisal, Korangi, and surrounding regions. This contributed to the pleasant weather.
