Last week, UFC president Dana White announced that Aspinall and welterweight champion Leon Edwards will be featured on the pay-per-view card.
Aspinall posted the following on his TikTok: “I met with the UFC.
“It has now been confirmed that I am fighting on UFC Manchester, so I’m back home preparing for that now.”
With champion Jon Jones sidelined due to injury, Aspinall, 31, looks ready to retain the interim championship he won last November.
Although the Manchester native did attend UFC 300 in Las Vegas from cageside, he claims to be in the “early stages of training camp” at this time.
