In one hour, 28 minutes, and 35 seconds, the 38-year-old crossed the finish line to record his fifth victory in London.
In his 25th consecutive start, American Daniel Romanchuk placed second, while Britishman David Weir came in third.
In the women’s wheelchair race, Switzerland’s Catherine Debrunner won handily in 1:38:54.

Debrunner’s triumph was her second in London, and she took the lead right away, closing the distance between herself and her opponents. She finished more over six minutes ahead of her fellow countrywoman Manuela Schar in second place.
Debrunner told Sport, “I’m really happy about the win, and the fact that we [her and men’s winner Hug] could do it together is even better.”
