Namibia’s famed batter Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton scored a century off only 33 balls against Nepal, breaking the global record for the fastest men’s T20I century.
The previous record was held by Nepal’s Kushal Malla, who scored one off 34 balls against Mongolia last year.
With 11 fours and eight sixes, the batter scored 101 runs in 36 deliveries, reaching the century on the 33rd ball with a four.
Loftie-Eaton performed heroically in the opening T20I of the Nepal Tri-Nation T20I series against the hosts.

Namibia scored 206/4 in 20 overs, thanks to the 22-year-old’s efforts. Despite contributions from Rohit Paudel (42 from 24), Malla (32 from 21), Dipendra Singh Airee (48 from 32), and Sompal Kami (26 from 11), the tournament hosts finished 20 runs short of their objective.
Loftie-Eaton, who also got two wickets, received the Player of the Match award.
