The introduction of 102 electric buses in the city has received approval from the Rawalpindi government. The official document states that the effort will span 84 kilometers.
The executing organization will be the Punjab Mass Transit Authority. It stated that the scheme’s gestation phase will last until November 30, 2025.
The anticipated cost of the electric bus service project is more than Rs7 billion. For the project, the Punjabi government has made available Rs4.7 billion.
According to sources, there would be ten routes in the proposed public transportation system.
