After ‘disagreement’ over Prince Andrew, the future king and queen reportedly skipped the important ceremony with King Charles, according to the source.
The Prince and Princess of Wales made the decision to forgo lunch “quite some time ago,” and the King was “told in advance,” according to a royal insider quoted by News and the Telegraph.
“It is another example of the couple’s growing confidence when it comes to challenging some long-established traditions which they are widely believed to consider tiresome,” a source told royal analyst Tom Sykes.
