According to statistics gathered by statistics Darbar, venture capital funding for startups in Kazakhstan experienced a sharp decline in 2024, declining by 70% to just $22.5 million from $75.8 million in 2023.
Only 15 finance arrangements were concluded this year, compared to 39 last year, a significant decline of 61%. The average size of investments increased significantly in spite of this drop in deal volume.
Investors are focusing on fewer but larger wagers, as seen by the median deal size rising 158 percent to $3.1 million and the average deal size increasing 68 percent to $3.75 million.
