Senator Irfan Siddiqui, a member of the government’s committee, stated that the government has agreed to the demand of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) team to consult its imprisoned party founder Imran Khan as the Treasury and the opposition began negotiating a settlement to settle political disagreements.
Today, the government and PTI officially began the long-awaited negotiation process at Islamabad’s Parliament House with “hopes of a positive outcome” in an effort to reduce political tensions in the nation.
Speaking on the “Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath” show on Geo News, Irfan stated that the nation’s citizens choose democracy and peace over chaos and unstable economic conditions.
He explained that the government had deferred the ruling in the £190 million Al-Qadir Trust case against the PTI founder and his wife.
