PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui said on Sunday that the party’s changing position might endanger the ongoing talks aimed at reducing political tensions in the nation, referring to PTI’s new demands — “Imran Khan’s release via executive order and inclusion of real decision-makers in talks.”
On December 23, 2024, the beleaguered PTI and the Center’s coalition government finally met to ease tensions after months of back and forth. At first, the Khan-founded party made only two demands: the release of all political prisoners and a judicial investigation into the events of May 9 and November 26.
The PML-N senator told reporters that despite promises from the former ruling party, the government’s team has not yet received a written list of demands from the party.
