Drake’s latest lawsuit against Universal Music Group, his parent record label, made his intentions clear.
He objected to their release of Kendrick Lamar’s song “Not Like Us,” claiming that it defamed him by referring to him as a “pedophile.”
Rapper-turned-podcaster Joe Budden, on the other hand, considered his legal action a shame that would kill his career.
“There’s no unity in Hip-Hop, none of y’all know what culture means,” he said in his podcast, criticizing the Grammy winner. “What a * disaster this **** is. It’s repulsive. It hurts if you adore this ****.
He went on to say, “I just don’t like the Karen play-both-sides, the aggressor and the victim,” implying that the case is a disgrace to hip-hop culture.
