BIRMINGHAM: Muhammad Abbas, a Pakistani pacer, will compete in this year’s county championship for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.
Abbas, 34, will participate in six division one county championship games for Nottinghamshire. He will become a member of Notts’ red ball team in May. In September, the pacer will return to Trent Bridge, the Nottinghamshire CCC’s home field, for the championship’s final round.
Since making his Pakistani debut in 2017, Abbas has participated in 27 test matches and taken 100 wickets. After a three-year hiatus, he was called up to the national team for the South Africa tour in December 2024. He took 10 wickets in the two-match series, including 6/54 in the opening test.
