President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated on Thursday that Pakistan and Türkiye have set an ambitious goal to increase bilateral commerce to $5 billion in the near future, highlighting a shared commitment to fortifying economic ties.
At a joint news conference with the Pakistani premier in Islamabad, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated, “We agreed with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to increase our efforts to reach the target of $5 billion in trade volume.”
Erdoğan landed in Islamabad late Wednesday evening with a high-level team on a two-day visit to co-chair the seventh session of the Pakistan-Turkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) with Prime Minister Shehbaz.
