As tensions between the two nuclear-armed countries increase, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has warned that a military invasion by India is inevitable following a fatal attack on tourists in the Pahalgam district of India-held Kashmir last week.
In addition to inciting indignation in India and calls for action against Pakistan, the incident claimed 26 lives.
Because of the imminence of the situation, we have increased our forces. Therefore, some strategic decisions have to be made in that situation,” Khawaja Muhammad Asif told Reuters during an interview at his Islamabad office.
