The Islamabad High Court’s (IHC) Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq declared on Friday that an intra-court appeal against a judge’s interim ruling was not allowed.
The comments were delivered by Justice Ishaq during the hearing of a suo motu case about the removal of a matter from the cause list.
Following the removal of a case pertaining to the prison superintendent’s refusal to set up a meeting between the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and his attorney, Mashal Yousafzai, from the cause list, the IHC judge in March started suo motu contempt proceedings.
In accordance with the directives of IHC Acting Chief Justice Justice Sarfraz Dogar, the case was delisted after a larger bench was formed, and the court took this decision.
