The recent war between India and Pakistan has remained in the news, but it still has global ramifications because it was discussed during a recent phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump.
“The Middle East was discussed, as well as the armed conflict between India and Pakistan, which has been halted with the personal involvement of President Trump,” Russian President Yuri Ushakov said in a Kremlin statement on Wednesday.
The two presidents had spoken on the phone for about an hour and fifteen minutes the day before, covering a range of topics, including the current conflict in Ukraine, during which President Putin emphasized that Moscow would retaliate for recent attacks on its air bases.
