Minutes after taking off from Ahmedabad in western India on Thursday, an Air India Boeing 787 carrying 242 passengers on its way to London crashed, killing more than 200 people.

Experts claim that the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the most sophisticated aircraft currently in operation, has a solid safety record and has never been involved in a catastrophic accident. Boeing stated that it was aware of the preliminary findings and was investigating further.
