AHMEDABAD: On Thursday, a passenger plane headed for London crashed near Ahmedabad, India, killing one of the 242 people on board. The plane struck buildings that housed doctors and their families.
State health official Dhananjay Dwivedi told AFP that one survivor, Ramesh Viswashkumar, was confirmed and had been hospitalized, despite the initial worry that everyone on the flight had died.
British national Ramesh was receiving treatment at Ahmedabad’s Civil Hospital, Asarwa, after suffering “impact injuries” to his feet, eyes, and chest.
