ISLAMABAD Citing direct communication with his Iranian counterpart following the initial exchange of hostilities, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar stated Monday that Iran was willing to return to the negotiation table if Israel refrains from carrying out additional strikes as the conflict between Tehran and Tel Aviv enters its fourth day.
Speaking on the Senate floor, Dar stated, “I was informed by Iran’s Foreign Minister [Abbas Araghchi] that they are willing to resume negotiations if Israel does not launch another attack.”
“We told other nations that there is still time to stop Israel and get Iran back to the negotiating table,” he continued.
Israel has targeted Iranian military installations with massive attacks on Friday.
