Washington: SpaceX’s involvement in Golden Dome, a significant US missile defense project, is under scrutiny because to the tense breakup between Elon Musk and President Donald Trump.
Following the public outcry, the government is now thinking about lowering Musk’s company’s involvement, according to three people familiar with the idea.
Up until recently, the White House had contemplated a proposal for SpaceX, Musk’s rocket and satellite company, to collaborate with Palantir, a software company, and Anduril, a drone manufacturer, to develop essential components of the project, which was named Golden Dome. According to these individuals, the government had directed the Pentagon to give priority to a satellite network for the purpose.
