To maintain safety and tranquility throughout the holy month, Punjab Police has released a thorough security advise.
All senior officials, including the CCPO Lahore and field commanders throughout Punjab, have been instructed to put in place impenetrable security measures for processions and religious gatherings, the guidance states. Zahid Nawaz Marwat, Additional Inspector General (AIG) Operations, stressed the significance of continuing to work closely with peace committees, religious experts, and majali and procession organizers.
Outside of the pre-approved routes and specified areas, no processions or gatherings will be permitted, according to Marwat. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of strictly enforcing the Loudspeaker Act and made it clear that using drones without permission during processions and majalis will not be allowed.
