ISLAMABAD: According to Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, the government is doing everything it can to make it easier for pilgrims to go to Iran and Iraq for Arbaeen.
The defense minister emphasized during his speech to the National Assembly that the pilgrims’ safety and comfort are still of utmost importance and that the appropriate ministries have been instructed to make sure everything runs smoothly throughout the trip.
He told the House that because to severe security concerns, especially the possibility of terrorist attacks targeting pilgrim convoys, the government has limited overland movement along the 800-kilometer route from Quetta.
