According to the Irish National Lottery, the owner of the winning ticket for a €250 million (£213 million) EuroMillions prize has stepped forward.
It stated that a merchant in County Cork sold the winning ticket.
It further stated that on Friday, the name of the store that sold the winning ticket would be revealed.
It is reportedly the biggest EuroMillions prize ever won in Ireland.
13, 22, 23, 44, 49, and Lucky Stars 3 and 5 were the winning numbers.
“We are overjoyed to hear from our EuroMillions winner,” Emma Monaghan, a spokesman for the Irish National Lottery, stated.
“At this point, our priority is to give them the necessary time and space to make arrangements and let this life-changing news sink in.”
