During his visit to the United States, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with Saima Saleem, who is a member of Pakistan’s representative mission to the UN, according to a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations on Thursday.
Saleem, who is visually handicapped but has made a significant impact in foreign diplomacy via her determination and commitment, met with the COAS in a kind and motivating manner.
He praised her extraordinary ability, steadfast commitment, and great efforts to advance Pakistan’s interests at the United Nations.
The COAS praised the diplomat’s tenacity and resolve, saying they are an inspiration to the country, especially for people with disabilities.
