In the most recent fiscal year, the federal government was able to reduce Pakistan’s fiscal deficit to Rs7,090 billion, or 5.4% of GDP, mostly by meeting the majority of the requirements set by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The Ministry of Finance reported on Wednesday that the government’s overall revenue, expenditures, and financial objectives were met from July 2023 to June 2024.
Government revenue is almost Rs 10 trillion.
According to a Ministry of Finance document, the federal government’s net income was Rs9,946 billion, but its total expenses increased to Rs17,036 billion.
