The squad announced on Wednesday that Black Caps pacer Will O’Rourke would be returning to New Zealand for treatment after being ruled out of the second test against Zimbabwe due to a back ailment.
After helping the tourists win by nine wickets in the second innings of last week’s first test in Bulawayo with 3-28, O’Rourke pulled up injured.
Ben Lister, an uncapped left-arm seamer, was already in Zimbabwe to cover for injuries and will be with the team for the rest of the tour.
On Thursday, the second and last Test begins at the same Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
